SPRAY FOAM INSULATION
Spray foams offer greater airtightness and a more continuous, full-coverage seal when compared to rigid board and fibrous insulation. Open cell spray foam is a low-density insulation option that expands to fit hard-to-reach areas and provides efficient sealing of structural joints. While open-cell insulation R-values are slightly lower than closed-cell spray foam, open-cell spray foam offers greater lightweight flexibility, as well as soundproofing capabilities and greater expansion.
ABOUT OPEN CELL SPRAY FOAM INSULATION
Open cell spray foam insulation is a soft foam insulation product, which is utilized primarily in southern U.S. states for any construction type.
WHAT IS OPEN CELL SPRAY FOAM INSULATION?
Open cell spray foam insulation is a low-density, nonstructural insulation product. The tiny cells of the foam are not completely closed – they are broken. Air fills the open space inside the material, making the foam softer than closed cell foam. It has many great performance features including reduction of air infiltration, increased energy-efficiency, quieter environment and increased living comfort. Foam insulation can also be applied in difficult-to-reach areas that other insulation cannot.
