SPRAY FOAM INSULATION

Spray foams offer greater airtightness and a more continuous, full-coverage seal when compared to rigid board and fibrous insulation.

WHAT IS CLOSED CELL SPRAY FOAM INSULATION?

Closed cell spray foam insulation is a high-density insulation that provides an air and moisture vapor barrier within structures while reducing condensation, air infiltration, and mold growth while helping to improve comfort, health, and safety for the occupants. Conforming to any shape, its superior racking can improve structural strength allowing for potential cost savings.

WHY USE CLOSED CELL SPRAY INSULATION

Closed cell spray foam offers simple full-coverage insulation in various areas, including hard-to-reach spaces or irregular gaps in insulation. This high-density spray foam has a higher thermal insulation capacity (R-value) up to 7.5 per inch, providing greater racking strength, and air and moisture resistance. This denser spray foam insulation has slightly less expansion after application, making it ideal for small spaces. Closed cell spray foam may be applied in layers to achieve higher R-value and full gap coverage.

WHERE TO USE CLOSED CELL SPRAY FOAM INSULATION

A lower expansion rate and greater density makes closed-cell spray foam an excellent choice for small spaces. It’s also vapor resistant and waterproof, with a higher R-value that makes it preferable for climates with extreme temperatures. Closed cell spray foam can be used as part of a roof insulation system or to cover gaps in building insulation systems.
